Hi, welcome to my site! I'm the Associate Professor of African Diasporic Histories & Coordinator of Africana Studies at Goucher College.

In 2018, I co-founded the Collective for Radical Death Studies, a 501 c3 non-profit committed to decolonizing Death Studies. Since 2019, I have served as the President of CRDS.

In 2021, I co-founded and currently serve as co-chair of the PA chapter of American Gravestone Studies.

My current research project is funded by a NSF Grant and is an oral history project on African American undertakers across the country and their response to how ritual was impacted by COVID.
